Craster Hann was born in Rochester, Northumberland in September 2001, and named after the fishing village renowned for producing world class kippers. Predictably enough, he initially turned out to be hyperactive and uncontrollable, though he has calmed down a bit since entering his canine middle age.  His perennial cheerful inquisitiveness makes him the perfect foil to his colleagues. Craster’s principal interests are chasing sheep, hares, rabbits and red squirrels (though not catching them, of course, as that would be a potentially expensive breach of the Hunting Act), destroying expensive canine toys, singing in harmony with a grandfather clock, eating and taking long walks.
